Homeowners search for roofers when something's already gone wrong

Roofing searches spike every time it rains. That's your opportunity, but only if your website is ready. We've built sites for flat roofers, pitched roofers, leadworkers, and full re-roof specialists. The common thread is urgency - when someone spots a damp patch on their ceiling, they're picking up the phone within minutes. Your site needs to load instantly on mobile, show your number clearly, and prove you know what you're doing. There's no second chance with a slow or confusing website when a homeowner has water coming through their roof.

Roofing is also one of the trades most affected by cowboy operators. Homeowners are cautious and rightly so. Your WordPress site needs to do the heavy lifting on trust - membership of the National Federation of Roofing Contractors, TrustMark registration, proper insurance documentation, and genuine photos of your completed work. We build all of this into your site, along with dedicated pages for each roofing service you offer. A page that specifically targets "flat roof repair in [your town]" will outrank a generic "our services" page every single time.

Everything You Need to Succeed Online

The features that matter most for roofers

Storm Damage Response

A dedicated emergency section with your contact details and response times for storm and weather damage callouts. Goes live automatically during severe weather alerts.

Drone Photography Display

Showcase aerial shots of completed roofing work. Drone photos show the full scope of a job in a way ground-level shots simply can't match.

Roofing Type Pages

Separate pages for slate, tile, flat, lead, and GRP roofing. Each page targets different search terms and explains your expertise with that material.

NFRC Membership Display

Your National Federation of Roofing Contractors badge and TrustMark registration shown prominently. Sets you apart from unregistered competitors.

Free Roof Survey Booking

An online form where homeowners can request a free roof inspection. Captures property type, roof material, and the problem they've noticed.

Guarantee Information

Clear presentation of your workmanship guarantees and manufacturer-backed warranties. Homeowners want to know they're covered for years to come.

Key Pages We Build

Every website includes the essential pages your customers expect.

  • Emergency Roof Repairs Fast-loading page targeting urgent searches with prominent phone number, response time, and temporary repair options.
  • Re-roofing and New Roofs Detailed page covering full roof replacements with material options, process timeline, and completed project examples.
  • Flat Roofing Dedicated page for flat roof services including felt, GRP fibreglass, and EPDM rubber, with pros and cons of each system.
  • Roof Surveys Explains your survey process including drone inspections, what you check, and how to book a free assessment.
  • Guarantee and Insurance Details of your insurance-backed guarantees, public liability cover, and any manufacturer accreditations you hold.

What I'd Build First for a Roofer, and Why

First build: a storm-damage repairs page for the urgent searches, and a gallery of finished roofs shot from the scaffold or by drone for the planned ones. Roofing carries more rogue-trader anxiety than any other trade, so the gallery isn't decoration: it's the evidence a homeowner needs before they'll let anyone on the roof. Real photos of real jobs, with the town named, beat any amount of copy.

What I'd reject: a single "all roofing work undertaken" page. Flat roofs, pitched re-roofs, fascias, and leak repairs are four different searches made by four different customers, and one page can't rank for them all. I'd also reject stock drone footage; a customer comparing three roofers can spot the same library shot on two of the sites.

The rules your website has to respect

  • NFRC membership: the main trade body for roofing; link your member listing so it can be checked, not just badged
  • TrustMark registration: the government-endorsed quality scheme; a linked TrustMark profile answers the rogue-trader fear directly
  • Work at Height Regulations 2005: stating how you comply reassures customers who've heard about uninsured roofers and ladder accidents
