Hotel websites that drive direct bookings, not OTA commissions
We build WordPress sites for hotels that showcase your rooms, sell your packages, and reduce your dependence on third-party booking platforms.
Every booking through an OTA costs you commission. Your website should fix that.
Booking.com and Expedia take 15-25% commission on every reservation. That adds up fast. Your hotel website should be your strongest direct booking channel, but most hotel sites we've seen are slow, outdated, and harder to book through than the OTAs. We change that. We build WordPress hotel websites with integrated booking engines, room galleries, and package pages that give guests a reason to book direct.
We've worked with boutique hotels, country house hotels, and city centre properties across the UK. Your website needs to do more than show pretty room photos. It needs to convert lookers into bookers. That means fast load times, a booking widget on every page, a best-rate guarantee message, and clear calls to action. We connect your WordPress site to booking engines like Mews, Cloudbeds, or SiteMinder so availability stays accurate and reservations flow straight into your property management system.
Every project is led by Mark McNeece, founder of Press Forge and 365i.

What I'd Build First for a Hotel, and Why
First build: the direct booking path, with a visible reason to use it: best-rate promise, free breakfast, late checkout, whatever the hotel can sustain. Every booking moved from an online travel agency to the hotel's own site claws back 15 to 25 percent commission, which means the website is one of the few a business can own that pays for itself in a measurable line item.
What I'd reject: trying to out-feature the OTAs on search and comparison. Guests will still find you on Booking.com; the site's job is to win the brand search that happens next, when they Google the hotel's name to check it's real. That moment needs fast pages, honest room photography, and a rate the OTA can't beat.
The rules your website has to respect
- Fire safety responsibilities: guests increasingly check; a plain statement of your fire risk assessment regime belongs on the site
- Package Travel Regulations 2018: bundling rooms with dinner, golf, or events can create a "package" with legal duties; your offers pages need to respect it
- VisitEngland quality assessment: an independent star rating is third-party proof; link the assessment rather than self-declaring stars
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about WordPress websites for hotels
Yes. We integrate your WordPress site with a booking engine like Mews, Cloudbeds, or SiteMinder. Guests check availability, select their room, and complete the booking without leaving your site. The reservation syncs with your property management system automatically.
That's the primary goal. By making your website the easiest place to book, with a best-rate guarantee and better imagery than the OTAs show, you shift bookings to your direct channel. Even a 10% shift from OTAs to direct saves thousands per year.
Absolutely. We build a dedicated offers section where you add, update, and remove packages yourself. Spa breaks, wedding packages, midweek deals, festive stays. Each gets its own page that can rank in Google for relevant searches.
We build individual room pages with full-width image galleries that load quickly on all devices. We optimise your photos for the web without losing quality. If you need a photographer, we can recommend hotel specialists who know how to shoot rooms properly.
Yes. WordPress supports multi-language plugins like WPML and Polylang. We set up translated versions of your key pages so international guests can browse and book in their preferred language. Each language version has its own URL for search engine visibility.
We connect through your booking engine's API or widget. Availability, rates, and restrictions sync in real time between your PMS and the website. When a guest books online, it appears in your system instantly. No double bookings, no manual entry.
