Takeaway websites that cut out the middleman
We build WordPress sites for takeaways with online ordering, delivery zone maps, and menu management. Keep more of every order.
Just Eat takes up to 35% commission. Your own website takes zero.
Every order through Just Eat, Uber Eats, or Deliveroo costs you commission. On a busy Friday night, that adds up to hundreds of pounds you're handing over. Your own takeaway website with built-in online ordering changes that equation. We build WordPress sites for takeaways that let customers order directly from you. Same convenience for them, more profit for you. It's not about replacing the apps entirely. It's about giving your regulars a commission-free option.
We've built ordering websites for fish and chip shops, Indian takeaways, Chinese restaurants, pizza places, and kebab shops across the UK. Your menu goes online with photos, allergen info that meets Natasha's Law requirements, and clear pricing. Customers pick items, choose delivery or collection, enter their postcode to check they're in your delivery zone, and pay online. The order prints in your kitchen or pings your tablet. Simple, fast, and no commission on any of it.
Every project is led by Mark McNeece, founder of Press Forge and 365i.

We connect your WordPress site with the platforms that matter to your business.
What I'd Build First for a Takeaway, and Why
First build: your own online ordering, even alongside the aggregators. Just Eat and Deliveroo take a commission on every order; an own-site checkout with a small direct-order discount converts your regulars (the customers who already know they want you) into commission-free revenue. The aggregators are for being discovered; your site is for being kept.
What I'd reject: an aggregator-only presence with no site at all. The takeaway becomes a line item in someone else's marketplace, competing on photo thumbnails and discount flags, and the customer relationship (the reorder, the review, the phone number) belongs to the platform. Even a one-page site with the menu and a direct order link changes that.
The rules your website has to respect
- Food hygiene ratings (FHRS): customers check ratings for takeaways more than any other food business; if yours is good, link it on the homepage
- Allergen rules for distance selling: allergen information must be available before purchase for online and phone orders; your menu pages have to carry it
- Register as a food business: the baseline legal requirement; worth linking because customers have learned to be wary of ghost kitchens
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about WordPress websites for takeaways
Yes. We build a full online ordering system into your WordPress site. Customers browse the menu, add items to their basket, choose delivery or collection, and pay by card. The order goes straight to your kitchen. No phone calls, no third-party apps, no commission.
Customers enter their postcode and the site instantly tells them if you deliver to their area. You set the zones, minimum order amounts, and delivery charges for each area. If they're outside your range, they can still order for collection.
Yes. You can mark any item as unavailable from your phone or tablet during a busy service. It disappears from the online menu immediately. When you restock, switch it back on. No customers ordering something you've run out of.
It doesn't have to. Most of our takeaway clients keep their app listings to attract new customers but push regulars towards their own website. Even shifting 30-40% of orders to your site saves thousands per year in commission. It's about having both options.
Every menu item shows the 14 major allergens as required by Natasha's Law and the Food Standards Agency. Customers can filter the menu by allergy. You update allergen info in WordPress when recipes change. It keeps you compliant and your customers safe.
Yes. We build meal deal functionality so customers can pick, say, a main, side, and drink for a set price. You create and update deals yourself in WordPress. It's a great way to increase average order value and give customers a reason to order direct.
Stop giving away your profit to delivery apps
