Heating in winter, cooling in summer - your website should sell both

HVAC is a trade with two peak seasons, and your website needs to perform in both. When boilers break down in January, homeowners search frantically for a Gas Safe engineer. When offices overheat in July, businesses search for air conditioning installers. We've built WordPress sites for heating engineers, air conditioning specialists, and full HVAC firms that handle everything from domestic boiler swaps to commercial climate control systems. The trick is building a site that ranks for both heating and cooling searches without diluting either message.

The HVAC industry is heavily regulated and that's actually your advantage online. Gas Safe registration, F-Gas certification, MCS accreditation for heat pumps - these are barriers to entry that separate qualified engineers from cowboys. Your WordPress site should make these credentials impossible to miss. We display your registration numbers with direct verification links, create dedicated pages for each service you offer, and build content that demonstrates genuine technical knowledge. Homeowners and facilities managers both want to know they're hiring someone who understands the regulations. Your website is where you prove it.

Gas Safe and F-Gas Badges

Your Gas Safe and F-Gas registration numbers displayed with official badges and verification links on every page. Non-negotiable for HVAC credibility.

Seasonal Service Sections

Content that adapts to the season - heating services prominent in winter, air conditioning in summer. Automatic or manually switched to match demand.

Emergency Breakdown Pages

Fast-loading emergency pages with click-to-call for boiler breakdowns and heating failures. These pages need to convert in under ten seconds.

Heat Pump Information

Dedicated content on air source and ground source heat pumps, including Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant information. This is a fast-growing search area.

Separate area targeting businesses with VRV/VRF systems, commercial boiler maintenance, and building management system integration.

Service Contract Pages

Pages explaining your maintenance plan options for both domestic and commercial customers. Recurring revenue from service contracts starts with clear online information.

Key Pages We Build

Every website includes the essential pages your customers expect.

  • Boiler Installation and Repair Service page covering new boiler fitting, breakdown repairs, and annual servicing with Gas Safe credentials prominently displayed.
  • Air Conditioning Installation and maintenance page for split systems, multi-splits, and commercial AC units with F-Gas certification details.
  • Heat Pumps Information page on air source and ground source heat pump installation including MCS certification and government grant guidance.
  • Commercial HVAC Services for offices, retail, and industrial premises including planned maintenance contracts and 24-hour callout cover.
  • Service Plans Comparison page for your maintenance plan tiers with clear pricing, coverage details, and online sign-up capability.

What I'd Build First for a Heating Engineer, and Why

First build: an air source heat pump page with genuinely honest suitability content: which houses they suit, what they cost to run against a boiler, when the answer is "keep the boiler". Grant-driven searches around heat pumps keep climbing, and the engineer who tells the truth about suitability wins the trust (and the boiler replacements) from everyone the heat pump doesn't fit.

What I'd reject: vague "renewables" branding with no registration numbers in sight. Heating is the most credential-dependent trade there is, and your Gas Safe and MCS numbers belong in the site footer and on every service page, each one linked to its register. An unverifiable badge is wallpaper; a linked one is proof.

The rules your website has to respect

  • Gas Safe Register: a legal requirement for gas work; the number should be linked sitewide, not mentioned once on the about page
  • MCS certification: required for customers to access heat pump grants; without it your heat pump page is academic
  • REFCOM F-Gas registration: mandatory for anyone handling refrigerants in air conditioning and heat pump work
